Interior vinyl cleaning

OK I pulled a set of clear seatcovers off a car that has been sitting since 68. I found absolutely perfect vinyl and fabric underneath...amazing...but the clear plastic had a tackiness to it,probably from sitting for some reason. This tackiness is on the seat vinyl.I don't know what this stuff is but it's tough to get off..I have tried a couple things and found Dawn detergent seems to take most of it off...I found that the fabric which is flawless has a bit of a tack to it and I don't want it to attract and keep dirt because of it...any suggestions ???

Get the Magic Eraser. I have never seen a better, more proficient cleaning product in my life.

I used it on my interiors (all of them) leather and vinyl and it works. I would buy a couple boxes of the units but well worth the cheap cost!

Put some GooGone in a spray bottle and LIGHTY mist a small area of the seat.
Let it set a minute then gently go WITH the seat fabric/Vinyl grain, not against it,with an Old white T-shirt.
Wipe in one direction, never back & forth.
Look closely at the T-shirt for any color weakness or unsteadiness. If there is color on the T-shirt,STOP.
If not, continue and work in small sections, never large ones.

Next week,I'll talk about Piston Dust Removal.

I second magic eraser, works like magic. I used it on moldy headrests that has been sitting collecting dust and mold for over 25 years. Came off like magic. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif
