1969 L72 Motor
 

Recently purchased 68 camaro with a L72 motor in it - has CE stampings on motor and trany how do I figure out the history of this car - motor - etc.

A CEXXXXXXX tells you that this is a replacement engine from GM. It could have been bought through a dealer or put in a car as a warranty replacement.
