Ken,
I wish I could be there to take photos before it comes apart.... https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif I would like to document another such original car very much. There are some very unique things regarding a legit '59 4-spd car. First piece of advice: Be very careful with the original rubber floor mats. They can NOT be replaced. 99.999% of restored '59 convertibles have carpets, because that's all that's available. I hope to learn a lot more about the car. Thanks for the info.I'll try to post some pics over the weekend. I know this isn't really the right place but it's still a very unusual cool car. When we were teenagers cruising around in the car everyone called us Batman & Robin. Verne I see you're in Jersey, If your're up for a vacation come on down https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif

Re: 1959 Impala convertible 348 tri power 4 speed help
I've been known to travel to properly document such an original car, or to help the owner bring it back to life properly after a long sleep. But I have a couple projects going now. One, mine and one for someone else (donated time). But I'd like to help you with the effort any way I can to bring it back historically correct (long distance). We'll be in touch.
The "chevytalk" referral was a good one too.! Lots of good guys there who know those cars and will help. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif Verne |
