Thanx 12bolt Great lead

Just wanted to thank 12bolt for a great lead. I put a post in the "auto's wanted" section for a project SC/Rambler. Dave's lead not only brought me to a great project SC/Rambler, but I ended up getting a "Rebel Machine" as well from a great guy Rick in Aston, PA. Thanx guys. Made a donation to SYC as well. Great site. Sent pic's to Belair if he can post them. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Two underated cars that really ran well. I remember both in the old days. Jim Bowie Rambler Conchohocken, Pa. He had them. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif

those are 2 cools cars..

I've got a video of a stock s/c running 14 flat and another out on the highway getting every which way but straight thru 3 gears. Pretty impressive power to say the least.

I remember in the mid 1970's we had a "Rebel Machine" in my neighborhood. The car would go sideways from first gear to third gear. It was a beast! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gifGood luck with the cars.

Thanx for all the kudo's guys. The Rebel Machine originated from Illinois as far as I could tell. 390, 4 spd, original 25A paint which means it was one of the 1000 produced in the patriotic red white and blue theme for 1970. Needs some work, mostly cosmetic. The SC/Rambler originated in Aston, PA, made a large circle coming back to the Aston area 35 years later, after several races, engines and owners. The guy I purchased (both of them from) remembered the SC/Rambler new at the dealership and still knows most of the owners. I'll redo this puppy up as original as I can, but the parts are a bear locating. I took one of these down the track in California while in the service back in the early 70's -- amazingly fast https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif

Nice find... glad everything worked out.
I do not know much about these cars...
Best of luck with the two new additions!

Donutblue, here's a link that might be helpful:
http://www.planethoustonamx.com/just%20s..._swap_meets.htm
Also, the Mopar Nationals include AMC cars.
Come to Ohio for the AMC Nats in Dayton. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...iggthumpup.gif
You should get plenty of help from these guys, as they are true brand fanantics.
When they had the Nats in Columbus a few years ago, I saw a concourse resto of a base, no option Gremlin. That is true love. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/hmmm.gif (Easier to find parts, maybe https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif).
If nothing else, the Air Force Museum is awesome, and free! https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/flag.gif
