W302NV's (Josh Fredenburg ) Remarkable Red 442 W30
I've been lurking on this board for some time, and after seeing more and more cars like mine being discussed, I decide to join.
I was lucky enough to have some neat cars during high school, a 69' and a 70' Cutlass, a loaded 86 Cutlass Salon with T-tops V8 and posi, and a loaded 71 Lemans Sport with a 400ci 4bbl, TH400, Safe-T-Track rear, factory Enduro Nose with Ram Air hood, buckets, factory tach / gauges. etc etc. but I ALWAYS wanted a 70 W30. After looking off and on for close to 10 years, we found this numbers matching, well documented example 6 years ago only 3 hours from home in suburban Chicago. It has 53k on the clock, and was restored in the early to mid-80's. Aside from the few upgrades we added (Rally Pac and Sport Wheel), an unexpected engine rebuild, and some under hood detailing, it remains as it was purchased. We have a great time meeting people while at car shows, and other events. I met a very good friend of mine through this car. I client of mine came in to discuss a few things, and noticed a picture of my car. He proceeded to tell me that a guy at his company recently purchased one just like it . Yeah right...so I gave him my card and asked him to pass it along to the guy with the car just like mine. He gave me a call, and we agreed to meet at a local car show. Even though his car was not just like mine (his is a Matador Red 4-spd W30 Sports Coupe talk about rare ) it was close enough. After talking about how and when we purchased our cars, we discovered that he purchased his the same week we did, and only an hour away. Plans are in place for major refreshing, drive-line swap, and a visit to the Pure Stock Musclecar Drags in '07. I know a number of you guys have been able to track down previous owners, and I would love some tips We have all the original paperwork from the original owner in Ohio, and have a few things from places in Virginia and Maryland, and I was told the car was in Louisiana before coming to the Chicagoland area...so I have a few places to start, I just don't know where Take Care, Josh http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n_IMG_2010.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n_IMG_1965.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n_IMG_5264.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n_IMG_5278.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n_IMG_5255.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n_IMG_2064.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n_DCP_0582.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n_DCP_0581.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...512_223722.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n_IMG_2063.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...0442/tn_ws.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1..._Brodacast.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n_IMG_1693.jpg http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...n_DCP_0602.jpg |

Joe, I agree. I prodded and pushed and pleaded with Josh to have his car featured in members rides...It's an awesome car. Josh is pretty handy with the camera, too!

Hi Guys..thanks for posting it Bruce. I am a bit out of my league with some of these guys, but I sure do love the cars here (a lot like Muscle Car Review was in the good ol' days!)...I usually like to read and learn vs. putting my 0.02 in on stuff I dont know about https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif
I keep pretty quiet, you can bet if there was a discussion on Oldsmobiles and 71 Lemans Sports, I would be posting away. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif |
