Stewart Warner temp gage

Need an old mechanical temp gage...small one...what are they 1/5/8 ? I'll have to check...but it needs to have the copper still intact and operational...

I'll check to see if I have one. You'll need a 72" capillary for the '64. Do you want the classic period black/white face? 270deg or 90deg sweep?

Verne I just ventured out an looked at the gages...they are actually old SUN gages...not S-W but it really doesn't matter I guess...I plan on installing the temp capillary to the heater hose connection on the front of the intake with a bushing. I don't want to screw up the original firewall pad to replace the heater core so I can use that port and keep the Hot/Cold lite !!! I'll post a pic of the gages later. Oil pressure gage is 270 but the Amp and Water are 90's...the temp gage needs an electic sender ...I have one for an old Sun gage but would rather have mechanical.

So, you're by-pssing the heater?
I would think you'd want all the gauges to match, so you need to let me know what you want to do.
The original owner of my blue car installed one with a wire wound capillary.

He broke it and replaced it with one with the black plastic sleathed one, which is still in the car and is fine. I can let that one go because I found an nos wire wound one (cost me a fortune). The SW I have is traditional black and white face, chrome bezel, 270deg. sweep. (I think it goes to 240).

Just went out to the shop and looked. It actually goes to 265. 180 is about 11 o'clock.
