Engine Code

Anyone know what small block 010 block JB suffix.

Re: Engine Code

Are you sure it's not CJB?
That would make it a 1971 350/245HP w/Manual Trans. Police application.

Re: Engine Code

Like Rick noted, the only 010 w/ JB is CJB and the application he's listed. . Are you getting the JB from the deck-pad and a stamped engine number like V0123JB or something similar? . To help, what's the rest of the #'s on the pad? .

Re: Engine Code

The suffix looks like it could be TJB??

Might have to clean the paint away to get a clear image.

That would make it a 1973, 74 or 79 LS9 truck motor.

That's my feeling too Mike.

Re: Engine Code

The casting date appears to be J 7 3
So it would be Oct (if I was used as Sept) of 73 so a 1974 LS9 Truck engine...
Thanks ya'll
