Saw that.
What that really wants to know is: How much will you pay? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif |
Re: Let GM Know How to Build the New Camaro!
Has anyone heard what engines options they will have?
Thanks Doug |

Re: Let GM Know How to Build the New Camaro!
Whatever happened to more than 2 engine options? Perhaps a lower compression V8 RS option that was readily available to low boost supercharging?
The initial lower HP/TQ output would put it closer to the V6 for insurance breaks???? Mabye a low restriction exhaust system option? Since the inception of the tuneable fuel maps...an option which gives a "performance" fuel map inherent on the chip? For example, how many engine/drivetrain options were available in '69...from which the new car is loosely styled. The F-Body's, in the last incarnation, were pretty much an 'all or none' proposition. Give the consumer some options. Perhaps even advertise that you can 'customize' your own new Camaro to your taste? How many people actually place orders for new vehicles these days? Or do most simply buy off of the lot w/ 'most' of the things that they like? Just a thought (or 8) |
Re: Let GM Know How to Build the New Camaro!
I was suprised by the survey...they ask about interest in the ss427 car - 2 options to choose from the 500hp LS7 and the 600hp LS9...I also noticed that they ask about a Z28 option and an RS option but suprising to me the RS package is NOT available with the Z28 option...

Re: Let GM Know How to Build the New Camaro!
Seems like a waste of time to me. GM has already seen and heard from lots of folks on the subject. All the websites and magazines have been discussing it. Bottom line: their prototype is fat and doesn't realy have the right connection to the real Camaros we all love. GM knows what they have to do, they just want the public to buy the nameplate and settle for something less. Buy a Challenger!!

Re: Let GM Know How to Build the New Camaro!
That appears to be a marketing survey more than anything else. If they want to be different and try something new they obviously have some proto-types out there, maybe enough to bring to dealers for test flights, give the consumer a taste and hands on before they hit the market. That should help. --- Helps Harley Davidson, every year their plant in PA offers the public test rides on new and upcoming models. Heck, even Ford did something similar with their new Mustangs at the Worlds Fair, worked - didn't it !
