1970 LS-5 Corvette Value

I am looking at a '70 LS-5 Corvette for sale. I can get it for around $25K and I would like to flip it for a profit. Here is the ad.

Original, numbers-matching 1970 Corvette Stingray coupe; Monza Red with black interior. Original, untouched drivetrain featuring LS-5 390-horsepower 454 big-block and Muncie heavy-duty 4-speed transmission. Original down to the small details, including carburetor, all engine chrome, braided plug wires, etc... the car is a time capsule. Original documentation including brochure, owner's manual, warranty card, and protect-o-plate. Four owners since new, including me. Car was sold new in the Seattle area, and has remained a low-milage, fair-weather local car since new; only 60,600 original miles.

Ordered for pure performance with only the HP 454/4-speed; manual brakes, manual steering, no A/C... purely a driver's car and all the more rare for it.

Bone-stock save for one repaint, the finish is in great condition and still shines wonderfully. NO damage, accidents, or repairs... straight body with perfect panel alignment. All the original chrome and trim are present and bright. Headlights and wiper door operates perfectly. Fiber optics are still in order. All electrical items work including the original radio. The interior is as nice as it could possibly be for a vintage classic; no visible wear, broken seams, or cracks/rips; great condition. Glass is equally as nice; t-tops operate smoothly.

Brand new brakes all around, tires are in excellent condition, engine is tuned and fluids are fresh. Car is ready to go to a new home and be enjoyed for many more years to come.

What are the values of these? I thought they were alot higher but NADA says low $20K average $41K and high $60K. What do you think?

I'd say in the $40K - $45K range. Depending on how nice the car is, how original it is, and how much (if any) documentation it has.

I know, I think I am going to let it pass. I just don't think there is profit there. Sure would be a nice car to keep for the money though.

Sounds like a neat car, I really like the low option, no AC cars. Sounds strange living in a warm climate, but AC is just so much work. There still could be lots wrong to make it priced correctly. I've read adds like that, looked at the car and wondered where the car was that they were taking about. You never know until you look, it could be worth max 25K or it could be worth more. It would be nice if it was an Alan Green Chevrolet car, lots of Hi Perf cars came from that dealer.
