68 Smog System

Anybody know the correct pump casting number for a 68 L78, L79 Nova smog pump? Is the date a julian date code? I know it has the pressure relief on top but I'm not sure of the casting #

Thanks,
Mike

Re: 68 Smog System

The pump casting numbers are the same as other 68-71 pumps. I don't have the casting number for the rear cast piece here at work. the julian date is in the format dddy1Y. I don't have my notes here at work but I believe the julian date on the pumps without the relief valve ends in a Z.

As Martin said, most of the pump housings are the same. Caddilac (and may be some others) housings are machined to come out the side not the rear.
