Re: '69 Camaro 'drifter car
I guess its cool because he's exposing the muscle car to a new segment but I am very unattached to the sport in general.
Just my opinion, rice rockets should be drifters, not Camaros. |
Re: '69 Camaro 'drifter car
That video reminds me of driving to and from high school back in the day. Cool. Drifting and muscle cars has been around for a long time, it was just called get'n sideways in my day.

Is that 3rd gen a 1LE? [/ QUOTE ] I've seen some of the 1LE "Players Challenge" cars available here in Canada and they seem like a deal for cars w/ a real race history! . https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif ~ Pete |

Re: '69 Camaro 'drifter car
Here's as link to a few 1LE-Players cars for sale/were for sale...no idea how old this page is? .
http://members.shaw.ca/tunedportinje...for%20Sale.htm Seems cheap if recent also that good old Canadian documentable thing comes into play. . I'd expect documents are available for all Camaros built at the St. Therese Canada plant? . The St. Therese plant buildings are all gone now aren't they? . https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ins/3gears.gif ~ Pete |
Re: '69 Camaro 'drifter car
I'm not sure if St Therese is completley closed, thought I heard the 5th gens were going to be built there. I'm pretty certain all the forth gen cars were built there-The early 1LE cars(88=91) were built at the Van Nuys plant, which closed in 92 https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...thumbsdown.gif
Here's a detailed account of them http://ve3eie.ncf.ca/1le_history.html |
