THIS CAR WAS RACED OUT OF THE CHICAGO AREA AT
U.S. 30 DRAGSTRIP IN GARY,IN.(NOW SCHERERVILLE,IN.) ORIGINALLY RACED WITH BBC WITH TUNNEL RAM AND LATER RUN AS INJECTED CAR(NEVER HAD A BLOWER ON IT) THE OWNERS WERE JERRY KRACINSKI FROM TINLEY PARK,IL( NOW IN LOCKPORT, IL) AND BOB FARON WAS FROM CHICAGO,IL(NOW IN SUN CITY,AZ) THE "HYDRO BOB" WAS BOB DE MARCODES (NOW DECEASED) & "STITTS" THE PAINTER WAS FROM LANSING, IL(NOW ONLY DOES CUSTOMER LETTERING & STRIPING) THE WHITE'S PIT STOP IS STILL AN ACTIVE SPEED SHOP NOW LOCATED IN LANSING, IL. THIS INFO CAME FROM TOMMY "GEARBOX" GEARHART WHO WORKED FOR WHITE'S PIT STOP AT THE TIME AND is the only other car they sponsord besides "CHI TOWN RACER" now in the NHRA musuem. This car needs a full restoration needs an engine and the center hub to the banjo rear. I also have the original moon gas tank. Whites pit stop is still in operation today. That would be a COOL car to toy around with! Drop in a bad little small block with the old style Hilborn fuel injection some really loud zoomie headers!You might have a problem getting the cage to certify! LOL but who cares it would be cool just doing a time trial from time to time and letting everybody drool over it in the pits!
