chevelle info needed
 

my friend just bought a 1967 chevelle and we need to know what the firewall tag info means. He wants to restore it to original.

ST 6213017 BF 07970 BODY
TR 731 FF PAINT
31413 190120

07C = 3rd week of July

BF = Fremont Calif. Assembly Plant

731 = Bright Blue Bucket Seats

FF = Marina Blue Body Paint

The rest of these numbers tell you nothing specific about the car, they are merely Internal Plant Tracking numbers.

isnt 62 13017 in the cowl tag showing a 62 chevelle of which there Is none

Most likey a typo or the person didnt write it correctly

No, based on the numbers here.. it is not an SS

If it were an SS.. you would see 13817 on that TRIM TAG...
