Speeding

Re: Speeding
It's an easy thing to do and you're treated pretty heavy now compared to the old days. .
I got nailed a few years back w/ a 179 Kph in an 80 Zone (about 112 Mph in a 50) and was treated like an escaped bank robber! . It was one of those beautiful day road runs that can happen easily enough and the fine was like $975 and instant 30 days licence gone! . https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/crazy.gif ~ Pete |

Pete!
Holy crap!! A $975.00 fine & suspension for speeding! Granted, you were evidently going a hell of a lot faster than the speed limit, but still. |
Re: Speeding
Not that England has the classic autobahn ( unrestricted speeds in certain parts) roadways, they do scoot along rather quickly. So it surprises me that until now the top recorded speeding ticket was for 156mph? I would have thot that they would have eclipsed 200mph years ago with some of the road beasts they run over there.

Re: Speeding
5 months in the cooler for 156mph is a strong incentive not to try breaking the record. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/eek.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/no.gif
"Before he resigned..." the Brits just have such a way with words. They don't fire you for stealing the bosses car, they just ask for your resignation. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/haha.gif |
