The car is number's match 350 LT 1 360 hp.mech/cam 1 year only carb heat plate, rare unique motor..the cigarette lighter still works,the rear 12 bolt 410 posi never removed.
the red tag is there.400 turbo transmission GMC division.on the pan, all electrical is perfect....protecto/plate .

Is this the thin aluminium heat shield between intake and carb? Where they used only one year or was the 70 different?

John...Yes it is the heat shield. From what I have found, only Cal built and sold in Cal, Ariz, New Mex had the shield. They are different from the BB ones too.I don't know if other years used them.
