I was going to bid on that plate till it got soooo high. If it is truly a re pop I am glad I didn't bid. How do you tell?

The fact that its doesn't have the mounting bolts from the frant plate was a dead givaway...

It is a shame there is dishonesty within the e-bay community!! Sometimes I really wonder about these sellers that keep the bidding list private. You can't tell me that some of these sellers are not having buddies bid this crap up and then some poor sucker comes along and pays the piper for something that he thinks is the real deal!! What a shame!!

Not doubting your assessment, but is it possible that there are two different designs of these, both GM versions? Both varieties have the same GM number molded into the backside https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

I have never seen it any other way... The last picture shows the woodgrain piece as you would get it NOS from the dealer and that one still has the tag on it as well...
