1971 Ford Torino Cobra 429CJ Ram Air (Roughly 900 429 Torino Cobras built in '71; about 600 had Ram Air approximately split 50/50 between 4-speeds & automatics; very few with A/C). Original total numbers matching California car (Still have the original Blue License Plates) with Build Sheet. 4-bolt main bearings 'J' code 370hp engine (Comp Cams 288/292; have cam card), Shaker Scoop, C6 automatic, A/C (Ice cold), factory Sidewinder Tachometer, Black deluxe interior with Buckets, Console, factory AM/FM Stereo, Paint code 'Q' Medium Blue Metallic done in PPG base/clear. Magnum 500 wheels with Goodyear Polyglas GTs & perfect 'Rim-blow' steering wheel. Complete rotisserie restoration to stock 'concourse' specs about 5000 miles ago. This Cobra has been featured in 3 car magazines including 'Popular Hot Rodding' May 2001. Have all manuals & dealer brochures, etc, as well as complete photo album documenting restoration. 'Turn-Key' show & go. Beverly Hills Cover included. Currently running a Holley spread bore with an electric choke, but have the mint, original with tag, Autolite Q-Jet with the divorced choke assembly in a box. Probably the last of the affordable big block muscle cars today. For fun, look up the NADA online value for a '71 Torino Cobra with the 429/370hp engine, A/C, & Ram Air! $37500. Email for pictures. Thanks.

One of my favorite Fords of all time and that's a very short list. Love how they have the appearance of a chopped top. Heavy car, but who cares? They are an extremely aggressive-looking musclecar.

I agree. The chopped effect really hits you when you're standing next to it. The neat thing about the '71s is that the 429 production was about 1/7th of the '70s, yet they still had 11.3:1 compression, & Ford went to the 4 bolt mains for the CJ in '71, whereas the '70 CJs had 2 bolt mains.

Forgot to add that this also has power steering, power disc brakes, & under hood/ under deck lid lamps.

I sold one of these as a "project" on ebay within the last year or so. Super cool cars!

[b] I purchased this Cobra 429 back in '71. I was in the army stationed in Ga. What a great car!
You should have seen this thing fly on the 3 mile straight out of Ft Benning into Alabama.
This was the only Ford I have ever regretted selling.

Really a well designed & engineered muscle car. Very rare, especially loaded up & in the right colors as this one is. Many parts unique to this model & year are near impossible to find, so a mint, correctly restored, original car like this one isn't going to cross your path too frequently. Appreciate the emails & interest so far. Open to offers, so don't be shy! Thanks
