He must have spent enough on the resto to insure the application of the caution fan sticker https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...s/headbang.gif

Re: Nickey Camaro??
I think this car has been up for sale before, and discussed here in the past. I just can't find the thread right now.

Re: Nickey Camaro??
The vintage photos of the car with the stinger hood and panel-style paint are great! I wish it still looked like that.

Re: Nickey Camaro??
Car was not shipped from the factory to Nickey and the owner has no written documentation of any Nickey conversion. Nonetheless, a beautiful car.

Re: Nickey Camaro??
OK, I'm not a Nickey expert by any means, but I do have a
question. This particular car has what appears to be a new/restored double fuel line ( 3/8 fuel & 1/4 vent ). In the big block scenario, that setup was reserved for the lower hp 396's. So what gives? I thought the dealers used 396/375hp cars for these SHP 427 conversions. Could/would a dealer use a non-SHP car for such a conversion? The seller indicates that the car was restored. So why use a double fuel line? Does that tell us the car was originally a non-SHP Camaro, or just a mishap during restoration? Steve |
