I had the chance on saturday to see my fathers friends original L78 camaro. He bought the car in may of 69. The car is in great condtion for its age. All original and it even has the dent from the factory that he never had fixed. This I thought was real cool. He said the dealership that he bought the car from had there body shop in another building across town. They would send the cars down to have them fixed if something was wrong. The guys that transported the cars bewtween the 2 building were cought several times for street racing customers cars. He new about this and just decided to leave it alone and didn't want his car to be mistreated.

He has all the original parts that are not one the car like the air pump the original carb. Even the rusted out chambered exshaust that feel off some time over the past twenty years of storage. It was stored in a barn never covered and it looks great. It was last on the road in 1983. He told me in 1976 a guy tried to buy it from him for 40k and he turned it down. The car only had like 15k he said. I thought you guys would enjoy some thing like this. He told me what he has it issured for what do you guys think a car like this is worth?

One thing I did notice was the Body Paint and Trim stamps were all green. All the cars that I seen had different colors. It was stamped in 2 spots.

Wow!
I am sure that it would be more than what "restored" L78's are going for, which I have seen 65-95k recently.

This car should give you Camaro boys a "woody"...

L78, 20k miles, all original, documented, one owner...the only way it could be better...if the owner was a redheaded nymphomaniac that owned a liquor store https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif
