Cowl Plenum breather identification???
 

3 or 4 years ago, I bought a cowl plenum breather set-up from another SYC member and never bothered to open the box as I trusted his description and it was packaged so well that I didn't want to mess with it until I would need it one day (I know, mistake number 1). Anyway, I never did use the breather and ended up selling it to a member here a few weeks ago. He recieved it and agreed that it was in excellent condition...however, it is not for a '67 Camaro as I was told when I bought it. He thinks it is a very rare piece for a full size BB Chevy, but I have no idea what it is??? Can anyone help? The pics he sent me are too large and in bitmap format, so I can't post them, but I would be happy to email them to anyone who knows about these things. If I remember right a Chevelle air cleaner has 5 cut outs inside the duct where a Camaro has 4. That is a Chevelle duct a Camaro has a flange on the top mounting it sits on the top of the firewall.

A chevelle would have used the same one as a larger car like an impala. They weren't exclusively for Chevelles.
Greg Cullum who is a member on this site has a couple of these and he could probably ID it for you.

Zedder. Terrytown Steve on the site has an original one off a 68 impala if I remember correctly. It looks the same to me but if he will chime in that will clear this up for you
