Quadrajet 7029215 date code?

Cleaning shop a little bit. Where the heck is the date code on one of these things?

Look on the baseplate where a throttle cable bracket would mount, should be stamped vertically on the side.

Well, that's where it's supposed to be. lol!

I've seen several carbs like this w/o any dates on them. (seen quite a few `68 carbs like this, so yours might be a late `68 produced carb for an early `69 car)

That is another Canadian "EH" carb. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/smile.gif

Canadian jokes aside... What was the EH designation? How rare is this carb? Or is it pretty common? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif

I believe the EH designation is the code that showed up in the carb box on the build sheet.

Well, the number is '69 for a manual trans Chevrolet. Is EH a '70 code... don't have it in my head.

I know it is the same number as the original that was misplaced/swiped https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...emlins/mad.gif for my 390 hp 427 corvette 4 speed.
quite a few years back when the engine was out for a rebuild.
Wouldn't call it a cheap one https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/wink.gif
It's correct for other 69 BB's with manual trans too.
