Re: stripe color
True for the Forest Green 70 SS Chevelles too.
White band-aid stripes were offered,as Black was considered too dark to be noticed. |

I found it .....white https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif [/ QUOTE ] White would be correct, but I wonder if anyone ever special ordered black? Supposedly Yenko also only used white stripes on the forest green deuces in 70 too, but I think black stripes on a FG Deuce would have looked cool in a low-key bad-boy sort of way. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/cool.gif There was at least one fathom green 69 sYc Camaro with black stripes, and IMO it's one of the coolest looking combo's ever. |
Re: stripe color
What about a black car, supposedly the stripe is white but what about a red stripe ? https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/dunno.gif https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...lins/beers.gif

Re: stripe color
This is my take on it:
For most manufacturers, there was a default color. However, it was possible to opt for another color. Considering I've seen plenty of 4-4-2s in the same green (Sherwood Green?) with black stripes, I suspect it is dependent on the interior color unless the buyer specified otherwise. |
