Vintage GM oil filters

I heard that GM is reproducing the PF 25 and 35 oil filters. At least if someone wants a correct oil filter for their car they will not have to pay 300 for one anymore.

That will all depend on how good the repo is. If not good the prices of NOS will go even higher.

This is true, I have seen a pic from the side and it looks good but I do not know if it has the embossed instructions on the bottom.

The PF25 is incorrect for a number of reasons depending on what year you want it for. For starters, it came along 'during' the 69 model year and did not have a painted lip. Also the top (or bottom depending on your point of view) is incorrect (at least for 69) as is the silk screening. It's the same one that was available before it wasn't available. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...mlins/grin.gif

It's OK but it ain't correct by any stretch of the imagination.

I don't think they are the GM repo filters but could be wrong. There was another company making them for a while now which this looks like.

What do oil filters really cost.....?I was kinda (foolishly) hoping that 14.81 was the dealer cost per case https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/imag...ns/naughty.gif
