Calling all TT experts
Please take a look at this 69 camaro TT and let me know what you think. I think the TT is authentic but I am certainly no expert. The car was in the middle of a restoration when the owner/restorer died. Comes with it's original drivetrain and almost all of it's critical parts.
I know LOS cars normally had the vin stamp on the stamp pad. This one is a 2nd week of Dec built car. I've heard that there was a brief period of time when LOS cars were being stamped by the oil galley, can anyone verify this and the timeframe? Here are a couple pics, all I could take before the battery died: [image]http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...r/IMG_1475.jpg[/image] [image]http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...r/IMG_1473.jpg[/image] [image]http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...r/IMG_1476.jpg[/image] |

TT looks good to me, too Dave.....although I am by no means an expert either.

Re: Calling all TT experts
I wouldnt be overly concerned about a LOS/VN tag since they dont say much, but then again they are being repo'd and would bring the rest of the car into question. I know very little about the non-X tags, but there are those that can spot the fake ones.
There are LOS/VN engines that were stamped near the oil filter, but not sure if there was any specific time frame that it was done so. |
Re: Calling all TT experts
If the car is still original all LOS built cars had a buildsheet on top of the gas tank.

Re: Calling all TT experts
Dave has seen the build sheet and will photograph it shortly. This appears to be a Rally Green (black stripe), Rally Sport, Z28, M21, 4.10:1. Neat combo!
