Re: Motion convertible

I am in Monroeville. At times way in the past Don Yenko would visit my shop when I still had my partner who he was close friends with.

Re: Motion convertible

Living just 12 miles from Yenko Chevrolet my whole life, I saw a lot of Yenko cars back in the 60's and 70's on the streets and daily drivers ,but I think Motion had better looking and better concept...

Re: Motion convertible

I saw a story in the November 2006 Corvette Fever magazine about a 1968 Motion convertible. It is black with the white motion stripes, L-88 hood, flares, side pipes, phase III ignition, torker...

Re: Late 68-72 B/M Corvette Hood

I saw similar hoods at Corvettes@Carlisle from Legendary about 8 years ago??? Not sure the exact date, but it was not that long ago. Then all of a sudden Legendary stopped attending the Corvette show...

Re: Late 68-72 B/M Corvette Hood

Thanks for the GREAT photo! That is exactly how I remember seeing the original Motion hoods, with just a cut out for the air cleaner. I never recalled them being molded out over the entire...

Re: Late 68-72 B/M Corvette Hood

I thought that the original Motion hoods had the scoop molded on, and then a hole was cut for the air cleaner to fit thru. This hood looks like it is open all the way across the underside. Is that...

Re: Traction bar color

I took some pictures of the traction bar and box, but I can't send them because they are too big? I do not know how to make them any smaller. If someone knows, tell me and I will try.

Re: Traction bar color

This response is probably MUCH too late for the question, but it might be helpful later on to someone. I ran across the original NMW traction bar I purchased from Motion Performance back in mid 70's...

Re: 1968 Motion Maco Corvette going to auction

I did see it on the auction Friday night. It sold for $50,000. They did not have much info on it, you can probably pick up the clip on YouTube or a rerun of the auction will be on next Sunday.

I still have the NOS 4 bolt block casting 512 that I bought back in 1972 for my never to be Motion project. I purchased it from Yenko Chevrolet here in Pittsburgh. Back then, with my Corvette Club...

Re: Motion Replacement Engines

I found this old air cleaner in the box on top of some other things in the attic. The chrome is perfect, box is a bit rough, it was in a box with some old car parts stored for a hopeful rebuild...

Re: Pics of shark at the Corvettes@Carlisle Show

I blew up the photos and it appears the two short black bars have no printing on them, and the longer center silver bar has the word CORVETTE etched into it.

I actually did not look closely at the emblems when I took the photos. When I go home tonight I will blow up the photo and see if I can determine what the emblems say. It was way too hot there to...

Re: Motion Replacement Engines

To be honest, I have not looked at the box of Motion parts for many years. I remember the Lemans cap to be shiny, not dull. There was an old fan made of green and white fiberglass I bought way back...

Re: Motion Replacement Engines

I can, but I have to dig them out first. I bought them back in the mid 70's and they were packed away and went thru 3 house changes since!

Re: Motion Replacement Engines

Thanks for that info! So, did Motion stamp the pads on the engines or were they blank? I know bare replacement GM blocks were blank but short blocks had the CE and assembly date. Also, would...
