Great question. According to Ed Meyers red oxide was phased out in the spring of 69. There is no known exact date. The example I posted is a late car.

Diamont Code R Matador Red base, tweaked slightly to better match some of the existing original paint remnants.

Interesting Canadian document on this Z28 saying it came with a 2bbl carburetor.
I tried reaching out to Vintage Vehicle Services to enquire if that was a typo but no response.
