Re: Tyler's Car

As far as I'm concerned if a guy wants to make a simple statement saying he has the first 67 festival pace car replica by Vehicle Identification Number sequence he shouldn't have to be subjected to...

Re: Dave's New COPO

I really love the car, owner stories, and photo history on your car! Such an amazing day two historical trip you have documented.
Did it ever come to a conclusion where the vintage drag photos are...

Re: 1967 Camaro, Norwood car, VIN 0001, info needed

Re: 1968 Z/28 garage find

Maybe not that cheap if the car has original paint, paper documentation and the numbers match up. The other factor is that the 68 Z28 has always been under valued compared to its 67 and 69 partners....

Re: 1967 Chevelle SS 396 375HP?

Don't forget about the L79 327/325hp (350hp) that was available in 1967 but not 1966 in the Chevelle line up. It was a rare bird too, as was the L78, and by most standards a serious 2nd option to...

Re: 1969 L78 NOVA

Did you look on the TOP left corner where it bolts to the bell house? Use a mirror.

Re: 1967 Malibu L79

The motor and transmission have been removed for cleaning and inspection. I had to take out the radiator and have it tested and repaired in needed anyway. I have a question about the M21's vin stamp....

Re: 1967 Malibu L79

It has a pretty cool sticker collection in the trunk. The one in the center says it all. I'm going to keep it that way!

Re: Day 2 Reflections

Been there and done that back in the 70's. I had a perfect 68 BB that we tore apart and moded including cutting a hole in the perfect original paint SS hood to accomodate the new intake and breather!...

Re: 1967 Malibu L79

I was hoping to save the original paint but its just past being a good idea https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif It is starting to peck with rust in particular below the belt...

Re: 1967 Malibu L79

That's what I come up with...something like 4046 or so. It does cross through all chevelle & camino models including wagons. Of course if its in a 67 chevelle it would be in a non SS malibu such as...

Re: 1967 Malibu L79

The car was raced and the Holley and exhaust manifolds were changed as was common to make these L79's optimal. The original single inlet Holley is with the car but not the manifolds. The shifter was...

Re: 1967 Malibu L79

Yes, it's aluminum but the 67 used it with a Holley and the 68 was cast iron with quadrajet from what I've learned.

Re: 1967 Malibu L79

The carb and exhaust manifolds were changed out but I got the original carb loose. The motor has never been torn down and alt, starter, dist, all match up. I even think the upper radiator hose is...

Re: 67 Z28 project

It will be interesting to see if the block in this car is a tonowanda assembled piece. If it has an assembly code stamped at the started flange we should be able to confirm. According to the CE...
