Post 70 Nova..

I bought the covers from Legendary and had my local shop do the work. They are dead nuts the same as the factory...they fit perfect and look great. I compared them to the ones in our 70 orange...

CTY is a TH400 engine code....the 'W' VIN denotes a Nova. So, we are looking for a 70 Nova SS 396 car. Considering most of the TH400 cars didn't have the 'explosion problems' the 4spd cars had...good...

The valve train was definitely the weak link in the hi-perf big blocks...replacing springs, keepers, retainers, seals and ideally new aftermarket one piece valves is good insurance.

The 'C' is for M-22...the rest of the stamping indicates January 21st, 1969 assembly date. So, does that VIN stamp match the deck stamp on the block and does the date line-up with cowl tag??

I assume you are looking for the 'standard interior' versions...with the vertical white stripe??? the deluxe ones are different for 1969 and 1970...
