That OHC sprint engine was discontinued after the 68 MY I believe. A guy local to me had a 68 Firebird Sprint vert with original paint - same engine. This is a nice looking Lemans in a great color...

I don't know if yours is the same design as mine, but in my case I did not remove the riveted pins when I restored mine. Wanted to, but it looked to me like a "permanent" assembly.

Thanks Kurt. NOS fenders installed in 1978 when the car was painted black. That was the last time the front sheetmetal was off the car until I took it off. J-nuts must have been changed then.

Thanks Darrell, yes Nuge's COPO is 09E. It may not make a difference but the j nuts I posted were attached to the inner fender where it bolts to the wheel opening of the fender.
