Yes, a wide stance with knees bent - very good for even weight distribution and good bat speed. I have special software on my phone so I can video him and then slow it down and analyze - his hips...

The stance is absolutely vital, whether it be the stock stance or the modified look - one inch in the wrong direction can make it or break it, IMHO.
