Re: July '05 Feature Car

Can I ride in the trailer with my car. I could even sleep on the back seat. That reminds me that I actually did sleep a few nights in the back seat when it wasn't a good idea to try and drive home....

Re: July '05 Feature Car

Nope, my daughter can go to college part time and work full time before I would even think about selling the Deuce. A little hard work would be good for her anyway....

Re: July '05 Feature Car

I understand. My Deuce is also very disappointed to not be in the company of some old brothers. https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Re: July '05 Feature Car

Well, it looks like our plans to come to SCR8 just got sabotaged by our daughter's college tuition. Her university just had a "major" https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif...

Re: July '05 Feature Car

After running street races many years ago I bet the real thing on a track is sooooooooooooo nice, even if you drive it like grandma going to the grocery store...

Re: July '05 Feature Car

Marlin,
You are right about that. There is nowhere else on the planet where you can see such a show of classic muscle than at the SCR even if some of them are "Citrus green". I know the best are...

Re: July '05 Feature Car

It sounds like these magazine guys are really taking notice of the Yenko brand name cars, now. I can remember several years ago when I would tell someone that I owned a Yenko Deuce and they thought...

Re: July '05 Feature Car

That's just as good as long as they are respectful of all of us "old farts" with these "super cars" https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Re: July '05 Feature Car

Marlin,
I can give it the old college try if all four of you guys like to get a good laugh. I would be so afraid of breking something that I would probably be turning a 25 second quarter mile while...

Re: July '05 Feature Car

Frank,
I chose the blue without any hesitation because it is my favorite color. The combination of the Fathom blue and the white stripes was enough to start me salivating and when I took it for a...

Re: July '05 Feature Car

I don't know about that race. We haven't heard from Frank on such a challenge. Maybe it would be like the old wild west gunfights where the sun is shining so bright off the new paint job that I could...

Re: July '05 Feature Car

Bob,
I probably did see your car when I bought my car. I went there right after they got in a large shipment and they had 12 Deuces on the lot(can you imagine?) and they were in 6 different colors....

Re: July '05 Feature Car

Sam,
I am almost positive that we are related. If they are a part of our original family that settled in that area many years ago. Most of our family is located up and down the East coast because it...

Re: July '05 Feature Car

John,
It's good to hear from you also. It's been a while since the CCI/Eckler show last July. Many shows in between. I don't recall seeing any other Yenkos at local shows other than yours and mine....

Re: July '05 Feature Car

It's great to hear from everyone. Many thanks for the comments on my car. It took a long time to get it done and I sure got disgusted more than once during the resto.
Pete, as to your question...

Re: July '05 Feature Car

Charley hasn't asked about it so I guess he must not like the '70 Deuces. I can't bear to give it away but I can sure give you a ride in the old "Detroit Iron". All I have to do is save enough...
