For my money, Ford's 7.3 Turbo Powerstroke w/auto is a tough comnination. The years I believe are 99-03. The early 6.0's had a ton of problems, and the non-turbos prior lacked power.

Elk Grove IL Racer - Mid 60's Nova - Raced mid 70

The supports were extended in the rear. You can see them if you look very closely. I have no idea why it rolled, since without air pressure the air brakes should be completely locked....
