That is what I thought. But clearly the post I quoted states that 273 SS427 cars were equipped with the L72. That leaves 273 Non SS427 cars with the L72. Just repeating what he stated .

So if there were 546 L72 engines in total...

So if there were 546 L72 engines in total produced for 1969 in full size cars, then exactly half ( 273) ended up in SS427 cars and the remaining 273 were spread across all models ?
