"Split Second" was one of the greatest game shows ever! It was formatted a bit like "Jeapordy", but was very fast paced, and a LOT more exciting. I believe they always had 5 Pontiacs to choose from (one for each day fo the week), and the show was on in the early-mid-1970's. I recall once seeing a contestent choose between a 74 Trans Am and a 74 GTO!. Usually, the contestant would pick a Grand Prix or Bonneville, the most expensive models.
The show ran its course, but I read where it was brought back by popular demand in the 80's, but it wasn't the same format, and it failed. I believe it was another Monte Hall show. I think I also read where the original Split Second shows were taped over
, so they will never show them again. I think there's 1 or 2 clips on YouTube if anyone wants to see the format. It was an excellent game show.
