I bought our COPO Chevelle new in '69. Compared to an SS396 with the L78 added, the price was about the same. It had a 5-50 waranty. While perhaps not as quick as an L88 or ZL1, it was immensely more user friendly. Running through the stock exhaust, it wasn't hindered as much as the afore mentioned cars so it wasn't all that much slower. Once the original ring seating problem was cured, I put well over 150K miles on the car and it was rock solid reliable, even starting once at -32F. It was docile in traffic and a tire burner if you wished. Being rare helps.....for those looking for that. There isn't much significant about the car as everything on it was off the shelf. It was just such a nice all around package with good seating for four. I may actually get mine back on the road again some day. You can always talk to Al, Grady, or others for good examples.

I agree with Keith.... my vote is an all out 1969 COPO Chevelle Display. Al, Grady, Keith and Chris
Plus we can keep an eye on Dana`s Black COPO... if it sells at Mecum we can invite the new owner to join the Display....oh wait, why don`t we just ask Charlie now
Dan.
