Stedelbauer and Stampede are a couple names that stand out as I'm pretty sure Stedelbauer was one of two Canadian dealers that had ZL1's pass through their hands (Nurse in Whitby the other but missing on known lists)..
Stampede Pontiac was the dealer who created and sold the Pontiac 'Jury' Post cars..
Sorry you Ottawa guys are losing Turpin...and Belanger too!.
We're losing Bill Storey Pontiac here in Peterboro'...a good family dealership and old Bill himself always a real car guy..
Bill Spencer Cobourg is another good guy dealer that gets the golden handshake..
Bissel Pontiac in Ajax isn't on the list as they shut things down a few weeks back already..
A few months ago I'd heard that Marvin Starr had plans to close up as GM wouldn't finance his floorplan anymore and he'd had too good of an offer for his land?.
I can't help but think of what some of these operations can do now?.
Timing is sure ripe for something out of left field like a major Chinese brand to try and sign up operating facilities w/ large customer bases that've never have considered such a thing before?.
