Re: WHAT'S BEST PRODUCT TO USE ON A VINYL ROOF?

POR-15's "Por Glo" is good for vinyl roofs that have been neglected or have had a bit too much sun. Lasts for a year or more, depending on exposure. Its thick, goes on like varnish or something. Might be a little glossy/thick looking for some tastes. Works like it says, though. I used it on a '69 Firebird (black textured, very dull finish prior) and a low mile mid'80's Crown Vic coupe (smooth blue padded vinyl).

I applied that to the vinyl top on my Camaro about nine years ago and it still looks good--but the car is in the garage 99% of the time so it doesn't get exposed to sun as much as a daily driver car would. Pretty shiny too so POR might not be for all tastes. Oh, and that night after I applied the POR-15 dressing the smell in the garage was so intense that it got into the house and we had to open all the windows in the house. My wife was pissed about that--I had interfered with her beauty sleep.
