Default Re: X22 Cowl Tag Looks Odd to Me. Feedback Welcome.

Out of curiosity, and since by no means am i an expert, but do the OEM's, GM, Ford, etc, care about fake or repro tags. I am in a business that in reproduction or copying of tags is taken serious and not allowed. I did not know if technically a tag is fake, would the person be infringing on any copyright laws with GM etc. There is the obvious observation that the person is trying to make something it is not, and that is very common, unfortunately. Sometimes the person has good intentions, sometimes not. But has there ever been a case or situaion where for example, GM went after someone for making a tag for a car, or found a car that was marketed with a non original tag. I hear of individual going after each other, but curious if it goes the other way. OEM's going after individuals. Or are these cars so old they dont care. It could be argued that if the true amount of say X22 cars out there was not known, a person making tags could make as many as he wanted, thus diluting the GM prestige of a particular model. As i said, a question coming from the other end, just curious if anyone has any input.
