Default Re: Al Loy's 1962 Biscayne 409!

She's a beauty, Al....and I agree, some engine photos (and interior photos) would be icing on the cake!

If I may be allowed to digress a bit....

One of my all-time favorite car stories came to me from a guy I used to work for many years ago. He had a good friend who ordered a brand new 62 Biscayne 409/409. My old boss had the privelege of accompanying his friend when he went to the dealership (somewhere in Chicago) to take delivery. They sat in the car, in the service department garage, as the salesman was explaining all the nuances of the new purchase. The happy owner fired the car up and was revving the engine a little bit as the salesman finished his spiel about break-in procedures for this special engine. When the salesman finished, they bid adieu, and pulled out onto the street outside, where the owner pushed the clutch back in, planted his right foot in the firewall, and side stepped the clutch. Off they went down the street sideways, banging gears. That was the new owner's version of engine (and drivetrain) break-in
