Based on what I saw at auctions last year, great cars still bring great money. Mid-level cars are floundering and questionable cars are not very desirable. It seems most of the cars for sale are projects or cars that need restoration. These cars are attractive to the average guy because he doesn't have the cash to buy a complete car and he feels he can perform the restoration over time. Overall, things are very strange with many people in a holding mode.
With that said, Scottsdale always seems to buck every expectation and economic concern. So, I think prices will be consistent with last year. BJ needs to draw great cars. Their No Reserve approach is frightening for most sellers. JMO, Ed
