I want to thank you all for your suggestions . we went to Sedona and Jerome . the views were more than we imagined by 10 fold . walked around the shops and just enjoyed the day and the time with my brother and his wife.
Jerome was another amazing place , had dinner at the Haunted hamburger restaurant. did not get time to walk around there as it was late and shops were closing.
Scottsdale was a great area. and the auction was all I expected. the condo was a 5 minute drive away. wish I had planned to stay another week. really wanted to get to the cruise night there. it is hard to imagine doing anythig car related in the middle of January.
I look forward to going there again next year.
