I know the DAU82 clear has not been available since ~2001'ish. The current clear coats from PPG are still very good, but the DAU82 was excellent. IMHO, I would decide on a particular brand (PPG, Dupont, SW, etc...) and then stick to a particular product line from that brand; PPG has something like 4 product lines: Omni, Shop Line, Deltron, & Global (cheapest to most expensive). I'm a hobby painter as well, so it can be difficult to know what brands (and product lines within brands) are compatible. Whatever you choose, make sure you read the tech sheets thoroughly - I study every one, before I paint!
