We have three dogs and three cats. Two of the dogs have no interest in chasing anything but a dog dish. The third dog, a Jack Russell is kind of dumb and the cats would use him on patrol as "point man" and when the mouse would run, the cats would leave the Jack Russell in the dust, pouncing from across the room on whatever poor rodent he happened to spook.
Here's "Widget" the Jack Russell, and "Terdly" the Tabby resting after a long day of doing nothing.
