The SD455s were mid 13 second cars in stick trim. They were truly frightening cars with a set of headers. And all that power with A/C, too! And they also handle amazingly well, far better than a similar era Z/28.

P.S. When you restore the car DO NOT take that engine apart if it is running nicely to begin with. Nothing runs like a survivor SD455. As far as I know, no one makes the small gear camshafts for these cars, that mate with the large gear distributors that were unique to the SD455.
