Another Michigan car coming to Illinois.
I am in hog heaven!

This car was in Berger's backyard, and has spent it's whole life around there. No proof yet, but the holes are in the rear panel for what, most likely, was a Berger emblem.
I'll order the NCRS papers.

So, I get there expecting a very rough 325 or 350 horse car, and was thinking of low-balling him because of that in my mind.
What I found was a well used, and abused, but not horribly rusted, L78 4-speed car.
Yes, it will need some floor work, and a redo of some previous work on the quarters, but all-in-all it's a good base to work from.
The engine is good running 427 or 454, that I never checked the numbers on, but maybe I'll be lucky and find a 512 block in there.

The original radiator is in it, but the tag is missing, as well as the fan shroud.
Also has the original deep-groove crank pulley, but has an incorrect water pump pulley.

Lots more to be determined on this one, but my body guy will have some more side work soon.
I won't dig into it right away, but do plan on picking at it until I finish the black one. That one should go back on the frame very soon, as I'm just waiting on the call from the machine shop to come see the engine dyno-run.
