Our LS6 Invitational participation appreciation
I would personally like to thank all 14 participants of the MCACN 2015 LS6 Invitational for taking the time and HUGE expense to allow us to put your cars in the LS6 display for everyone's enjoyment. Based on the comments that were made to me from spectators, it was a HUGE success and the general public absolutely loved it. More importantly Annie and I were able to personally meet some of the best people I had talked to over the years but never met. Some of the nicest people in the hobby to put it lightly. Most all of the participants were there to help (some had their cars shipped in but could not attend) and some stayed into the wee hours of the morning to not only help load up but give me a ride to my truck and hotel. THANK YOU Les Saville! Awesome weekend to say the least and am now looking forward to 2020 for the 50th anniversary of the LS6. Someone shoot me! LOL
Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello and introduce themselves. I apologize if I did not recognize you or sounded brain dead but I was in fact brain dead due to overload and lack of sleep. Met some outstanding people and managed to take home not one, but two fairly unknown and real LS6 convertible restorations so I am fully charged now.
I dedicated the 2015 display to our long time customer and friend Jerry Hodge whose Forest Green LS6 was scheduled to be in the show but had to cancel at the last minute due to an illness. Unfortunately, Annie received word on Friday morning from his wife that he had passed away only the day before. I only found out a short time before the show started which really took the wind out of our sails for the weekend. RIP Jerry.
