Rushed around like a fool after work today:-)
Went to Terry's and borrowed his welder, raced back home in an ice storm to meet my friend the welder. We measured using the original frame drawing and what I had laid out was bang on using diagonal, side to side and front to back measurements:-) I wanted a second guy to go over them with me before opening up the holes for the replacement metal rings, as it is hard to get accurate measurements solo.
We ground out the bad material (about 1/4 inch around two body mount holes) and welded in two more rings, then ground with a flapper wheel and used the die grinder underneath to dress it up, looks like a million bucks:-)
I felt like a dink, I had to steal the power from the stove for the welder as the family was cooking chili for dinner:-( I guess I have heard of worse things:-)
Frame is now ready to go back form blasting:-) Monday/Tuesday.
