Between the Jack Russell and the three cats, this is "No Mouse Land." In the winter the cats try to herd any mouse they see and play with it for a while. The dog just barges in and eats them up. I remember a year ago when we were all chasing this one mouse around the living room in an attempt to catch and release him outside. I finally caught it and opened the front door, threw it out so it could run away but before I could close the front door, the darn thing ran right back inside and straight into the dog's mouth. The dog was laying on the ground with his mouth open like it was a cave. Weirdest thing I have ever seen. The mouse made a bee-line right into his mouth and he swallowed it whole. Never even chewed once. The cats were not amused. They then went back to harassing the dog. (Their regularly scheduled program)
