Recognized 2 more blasts from the past....first up is my high school and friend to this day, Paul V's 1967 SS Impala, I was with him when he bought this car in 1986 and it has been raced since that day in 1986, many street races and late night engine and trans swaps that could fill a book..and it is still kicking ass in the Pure Stock drags to this day.

Next up..this 1970 R/T Hemi Challenger, In 1985 I drove my 1970 440 6-Pak GTX to Detroit to look at some Mopar parts, when I was leaving and about to get in my car this guy in a white Dodge Maxi van loaded with kids stops and asks me about my GTX, we BS a little and he tells me about his Hemi Challenger and to stop by as he lives down the street...I'm thinking OK..NOT. Well I drive down the street and get to the corner of Outer Drive I look to the left and there he is with the garage open and I see the black Challenger inside, so I stop to check it out.
Turns out he is a Detroit Police motorcade officer named Godfrey, and bought the Hemi Challenger new, it only had 12K miles on it at the time and I could of bought it for $10K that day... which was out of the question for me at that time.

I recognized the car from the Gator Grain top and even though I can't quite make out what it says on the fender decals, I bet they say "AFRO" he saw me looking at the decals and replied "yeah, we were into that back then"

Great guy and a great car, wish I would of had $10K in my pocket that day..
