Wink 68 Nova Engine Options...

The L35 396/325hp was offered in the Chevelle and Camaro, but never the Nova. As mentioned the L48 350/295hp, was the std. V8 for the Nova SS....the big block choices came along in the late spring, but very few were produced.

The sleeper was of course the L79, even though it didn't have the aluminum intake and Holley any more, it was still a real powerhouse. That combo with an M-21 and a 4.10 rear ate most big blocks for lunch. A lot of my friends who had an L79 equipped car often added the factory solid lifter cam, Holley with a Winters manifold and headers along with some better tires and traction upgrades...they were fun to watch.

Still one of the best combos Chevy ever made..
